Our client is a global international bioscience company. According to the global growth strategy of the Company Russia & CIS should be one of the most promising regions for business development initiatives. We are starting the search for a Sales Manager, who will be the first person in the Russian legal entity representing Animal Health & Nutrition division of the Group in Russia and CIS.


Role and responsibility :
  • Lead and grow the distributor network in Russia and CIS on all Company’s AHN products and services.
  • Lead and manage the sales expectations in the area of responsibility
  • Help to develop product concepts in the market in order to grow sales and improve profitability 
  • Identify marketing/customer trials and marketing activities required to support this positioning
  • Provide technical support and training related to product performance to key accounts and distributors

Main tasks:
  • Lead and ensure excellence relation with our distributors in the region
  • Identify marketing trials and marketing activities required to support this positioning
  • Develop launch plans and marketing materials together with the commercial development team
  • Manage sales expectations and report on sales progression of the product range
  • Prepare business cases to extend country presence with new distributors
  • Collaborate with sales management to secure optimal execution of strategies
  • Suggest / propose right prices for probiotics products based on solid competitor knowledge (product / price offering)
  • Conduct seminars and training of distributors and customers
  • Provide feedback on market trends and development of competitive inoculant products and applications
  • Assist in clarifying priorities for the probiotic business in the region (e.g. market segmentation) 
  • Facilitate product & concept training to the key accounts and distributors on new product introductions, -enhancements or new marketing claims and tools for products
  • Provide 12 months rolling sales forecast
  • Build a solid sales pipeline through frequent customer meetings

Other tasks:
  • Work closely together with the commercial development team on tasks related to regulatory, production, marketing and financial matters
  • Work closely with the financial team to manage accounts receivables and where/when needed, intervene directly with customers´ accounts payable department and management
  • Connect with counterpart colleagues in other regions to share best practices


Qualifications and competences (Professional and personal):
  • Bachelor Degree in agricultural or life sciences
  • Knowledge in animal nutrition, health and/or production or breeding would be an advantage
  • Minimum 5-year related animal nutrition sales experience and with a proven track record
  • Strong leadership and facilitator competences with distributors
  • Commercial mindset and experience in project management (salesforce.com type activities)
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and in writing and a track record of achieving results and experience in collaborating with different cultures and nationalities

  • The role reports to the Regional EMEA AHN Sr. Business Manager
  • No subordinates at the start-up stage, but this role may be required to build up a team to grow with the Business when needed.
  • The role is located in Moscow, Russia
  • Extensive travel within the region/international is required. Office time is expected to be around 25%. External travels to customers, KOL work, events and seminars will be around 75%.
  • Fluency in English is required plus one of the core languages in the territory. Other European languages would be a plus.


Compensation package:
